You To The Rescue is a donation-based upscale resale boutique. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to contribute up to 70% of the money we raise through selling your donated clothing, accessories, and home goods to support the Animal Adoption Foundation and Save the Animals Foundation, no-kill animal shelters in the Cincinnati tri-state.
Your purchase makes a difference in the lives of animals in our community.
$10 can provide a microchip for a shelter animal.
$45 enables a dog to receive lifesaving vaccinations.
$65 can spay or neuter a shelter pet.
Amy Miller, founder and operator of You To The Rescue, is the human face behind the resale boutique but the story starts with one Great Dane by the name of Manny. Amy became active in animal welfare shortly after she purchased her first puppy almost twenty years ago. Yep, you heard right - she found that bundle of joy from a breeder.
When it was time to find a friend for Manny, Amy turned instead to a local animal rescue. Dirk came home to join the family and the rest was history. Having experienced the satisfaction of rehabilitating a traumatized Great Dane and giving an animal in need the love and stability of a forever home, Amy committed to doing all in her power to help animal shelters.
Those who know Amy well know that she is a school-based speech therapist. For twenty years, she has competently evaluated, identified, and served those with communication disorders.
While Amy considers herself fortunate to have such a profession, she admits that it does not satisfy her true passion - animal welfare.
For almost as long, she has fostered, adopted, transported, raised funds, served on boards, volunteered for awareness events, mowed grass and done other shelter maintenance - just about anything to support tri-state cats and dogs.
She has decided it's time to help others without a voice: local cats and dogs. You To The Rescue is her way of giving back.
To Help Tri-State Animals
Being a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteers. At times it gets quite hairy and we could use additional paws for processing donations, steaming clothing, tagging, and restocking inventory.
